June and July are the party months, with festivals and celebrations, August calls for vacations and travel, and September bids farewell to summer with a slower pace and the last evening drinks.
This is how we welcome the third season of the year, with open arms: surrounded by warmth, gathered around the table, with our loved ones and refreshing dips in the pool.
These are the happy days in our southern haven!
At Monte do Ramalho, summer weddings are in full swing. We’ve had a full house and many beautiful days, blending stays and swims with vows of love, dinners under the stars, and warm nights filled with dancing.
Doesn’t that sound like the perfect mix?
We’ve already shared details about what we offer for those tying the knot: delicious and varied menus (vegetarian friends, you’re welcome!), featuring local flavors with a twist of innovation.
We accommodate the bride, groom, guests, young and old, and even furry four-legged friends. There’s sun and shade, fruit on the trees, pools for cooling off, hammocks and loungers for naps, games and bicycles for exploring, an indoor space for a Plan B in case of unpredictable weather, and even a quaint little chapel for religious ceremonies.
And have we mentioned the view? The wide horizon that stretches out 360º, and the starry, dark, crystal-clear sky that covers the threshing floor at dinner?
All this and more, so magical it almost seems unreal, is at your disposal here at Monte do Ramalho.
If “that question” is on your mind – or has already been asked! – let’s chat, between Mondays and Wednesdays, to explore all that Monte do Ramalho offers for the most beautiful of days!
And while we’re talking about festive days, it’s not just weddings happening here at Monte do Ramalho. July brings an exciting regional agenda, and we’re happy to share it with you!
July offers an interesting agenda in the region, which we’d like to share with you!
From July 26th to 28th, the Feira Franca de Avis returns, offering plenty of music, performances, traditional singing, food stalls, exhibitions, handicrafts, visual arts, and sports. Headliners include Wet Bed Gang, Rui Veloso, Buba Espinho, and Calema, at what’s being called “the Party of all parties.”
For those willing to travel a bit further, the 10th Marvão International Music Festival takes place from July 19th to 28th, featuring a cultural program that includes films, dinners, concerts at the Castle and other magical venues, painting exhibitions, and guided tours. It’s pure luxury!
Alentejo is truly a love affair!
Pack your bags, trace your route on the map, choose the playlist for the road trip, and set off to discover the warm summer nights. Here’s our first suggestion: Caminhos de Avis by Rodrigo Leão.
Here we are waiting for you in the warmth of the evening!
